my 3rd day of working as a librarian

few things to jote down
1. the naming of nlb youtube videos is problematic. it should be more "apple-ish", meaning more direct, focused, more enticing which arouse curiosity. "speach by XYZ, song by ABC" doesnt work at all, this will bury good content.

2. J mentioned that there are many numbers, such as total of Book Loans, Queries, and Visitors, which as librarians, we are accounted for. We have to meet target of X amount of each every financial year. Hmm, well, it seems like that there's no way i can escape this fate. Yet, i hope to always remember that behind every number there is a lovely story of someone meeting a book for his/her soul. - just like my dear student who was killed in a fire, which emotionally affected me and my students so much would eventually become a number in some reports.

3. I was asking if i can set up 'book display' on the religion Muslim during ramadan, the answer i got was not advisable as it's sensitive. Yet i dont agree with it as this is to promote mutual understanding and not vilifying any org or institution.

Last, i hope to keep myself as a very approachable person, with energy, and really create meaningful activities on reading for the people out there.
